Hi there, I’m Ana
Project manager. Parent. An expatriate based in Lisbon, Portugal.
A few years back, I moved here with my family. What started as a short-term assignment gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Started
Moving to Portugal wasn't in our long-range plan. Like many international relocations, it started as a job opportunity and quickly grew into something much bigger.
The early months were demanding — new systems, new routines, new expectations. Daily tasks felt more complex than they ought to be.
The Adjustment Period
There was a sense of culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning on the job. Yet over time, routines settled in. We found places that fit us, met other families, and began building something steady.
Why I Built Clear Field Studio
Most information online was either corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism content. What was missing was an honest, everyday family viewpoint.
This site exists to bridge that gap — practical guidance drawn from real life in Portugal.
What This Site Represents (And What It Doesn't)
This site is about:
- Practical lessons from living in Portugal
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated whenever something truly changes
This site is not:
- Not a tourism authority resource
- Not a sponsored review platform
- Not a generic travel blog
Looking Forward
Our time in Portugal goes on, and the learning journey continues. As long as the information remains valuable, I will continue to document what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Lisbon or anywhere in Portugal, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
Best regards,
Ana
